So, you’ve been invited to a ‘you are what you eat‘ costume party, but not sure what to dress as? Well, there’s a whole variety of food that you can choose to go as and, if you can, you should definitely go as your favourite tasty treat!

You could always try and make your own costume for this, but if you don’t have the time or simply don’t want the hassle, there’s a ton of fantastic off the shelf costumes you can get for your big occasion.

Here’s ten of the best ones that will get your belly rumbling… Damn! I know I’m gonna be hungry again after writing this list.

1. A Juicy Burger

Now, who doesn’t love a juicy burger? Whether you’re meat free or not, a burger is on the list of nearly everyone’s favourite food and this costume is a classic. Why not go as combo burger and fries with a friend? The pictures will be hilarious!

2. A Good Old Hotdog

Another American classic, the good old tasty hot dog. There will be no doubt what’s in it when you rock up to the party wearing this.

3. Ketchup & Mustard – The Perfect Pair

Now you’re gonna need some condiments to go with that burger and hot dog. Do you like ketchup or mustard? Why not have both with this couples costume idea.

4. Treat them to a slice of pizza

Another favourite on practically everyone’s list. Get a pizza the action in this get up.

5. Mexican Burrito

Add a little salsa to the proceedings with a delicious burrito costume. You’ll stand a good chance of winning any costume contest if you can actually dance a salsa with a partner dressed in another piece of Mexican cuisine… Speaking of which.

6. Spicy Taco

Oh! yeah! now we’re talking. Tasty tacos? Damn, it’s getting spicy in here! Pair up with the burrito and dance a la Mexicana. That best dressed prize has your name written all over it with this costume.

7. A Healthy Head of Broccoli

OK, someone’s gotta be a little bit healthy at this party, right? Why not be the antidote to all this meat and junk food with a healthy looking broccoli costume.

8. It’s a carrot!

Nothing goes better with broccoli than a carrot. Peas and carrots are also a good mix.

9. Go Bananas!

Those vegetables need some fruit, and what better way to add some than with a banana costume. A classic at any party, but at a food themed one? It’s practically essential!

10. Go! Go! As an Avocado!

Ah, the avocado. The fruit of choice for Millennials and sole reason why no one can buy houses any more… I kid, of course… But not about this costume, it’s an awesome choice.

11. A Strip of Bacon

Well that health kick didn’t last long, did it? Sizzle in meaty deliciousness with choice of outfit.

12. A fine eggsample of a costume

I think my puns are getting worse, but these costumes aren’t. What better way to accompany a strip of bacon to a party than a fried egg costume?

13. Sweet, Sweet Breakfast Pancakes

Hey! If this party goes on all night, someone’s gonna need to bring some breakfast, right? It might as well be you in this tasty stack… Mmm, goes well with bacon too!

14. Crunchy Cereal Goodness

Add some breakfast variety to proceedings with this crunchin’ cereal costume.

15. It’s Snack Time With This Chips Costume

A party without chips is no party at all. Make sure there’s plenty with this cheesy costume. Other chips are available too!

16. Needs Some Dip

If there’s chips at a party, there’s gotta be some dip at a party too.

17. Be a doughnut

Sweeten things up a bit and bring some sugar to the party with this costume.

18. Scream for Ice Cream

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Hang in the chill out area with this choice.

19. There’s always room for cake

The birthday cake needn’t be the only cake at the party. Choosing your costume will be a cakewalk with this idea… Hmm… Too much cake punning.

20. A Fridge Full

If you really can’t decide what to dress up as, then why not just go as the whole damn fridge! That way, you’ll have all bases covered.
